The firm of Karelse Van der Meer Architecten is undeniably
one of the Netherlands' leading architectural firms. According
to architecture critics, this firm's designs have contributed
greatly to a revaluation of modernism, a movement that had
received a bad name due to anonymous mass production. The
modesty of the firm's buildings is precisely what gives these
